Who We Are
AllConnected’s roots began in 1993 when our founder, Alan McDonald, began a consulting practice focused on the healthcare industry. Back then, we were known as Integrated Computer Systems. As connectivity continued to have a more significant impact on the way businesses collaborate and access information, we changed our name to AllConnected in 1998.
Over the years, we have come to recognize that there are three primary things that we can’t fix in the IT world: data loss, security breaches, and downtime. Alan (our CEO) and Richard (our CTO) worked to design our managed IT services around the prevention of these major issues.
AllConnected Staying Connected
AllConnected also participates in networking and collaborating with our vendors, our peers, and manufacturer partners at a national and North American level. Our active participation in the Ingram Micro VentureTech network gives us immediate access to resources within this group of nearly 400 IT Service Providers, representing over $2B in annual sales, as well as the Ingram Micro Service Network with thousands of certified professionals we can dispatch to supplement projects we manage throughout North America. Our President & CEO, Alan McDonald, serves as the Co-President for the VentureTech North American network, and sits on multiple advisory councils, including Cisco, N-able, and Asigra. It is one way that we focus on staying very involved in our industry.
We also stay well connected with leading manufacturers in networking, storage, virtualization, and data center. Our company is also well recognized in the IT industry for innovation, expertise, and leadership. In 2013, AllConnected was recognized by CRN’s Tech Elite 250, the definitive list of solution providers with deep technical expertise and top-level certifications from IT vendors.
We also encourage our team members at AllConnected to do the same. In an ever-changing and advancing field, we maintain over 60 certifications relevant to staying true to one of our core values of expertise. These certifications including Microsoft, Cisco Networking, Cisco Data Center, VMware, Citrix, Dell Compellent, HP, and many others.
Our Cloud Services
Years before the term ‘Cloud’ came to be, in 2003, we completed the purchase of our new facility, and by 2004, the buildout of our office, and our new Data Center was complete. Our headquarters and Data Center are located in Simi Valley, California. Our new Data Center was specifically designed with multiple conduits, backup power, preaction fire system, a raised floor, fibre optic connectivity, and other forms of redundancy. These additions were designed to ensure that as we continued to grow, we would have the infrastructure and connectivity required to better support our clients as their dependency on Information Technology grew. We have since expanded our DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) offerings to replicate real-time outside of our own disaster zone, with cloud infrastructure in Simi Valley, Las Vegas, and Illinois.
Our Focus on Compliance
Today, AllConnected helps our clients to achieve centralization and survivability of IT infrastructure. We have a specific focus on compliant-driven industries, including the public education/municipal system, financial (PCI/FINRA), and healthcare markets (HIPAA). In the year 2005, AllConnected secured California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) contracts to make it easier for school districts and municipalities to do business with us. In 2010-2012, we were awarded Western States Contract Alliance (WSCA) contracts from Cisco, Dell, and HP, and in 2013, we built a partnership to ensure that our financial clients have certified email archiving solutions to meet FINRA regulations.
