AllConnected Develops with Recent Perch Partnership

AllConnected MDR will be able to detect breaches sooner, enabling engineers to respond and remediate quickly.

Despite everyone’s best efforts at improving IT security, sometimes hackers still get past the filter.  For that reason, in 2021, AllConnected will offer an additional level of protection to small-to-midsize business (SMB) customers with Managed threat Detection and Response (MDR).

AllConnected will partner with Perch Security, a 24×7 co-managed threat detection and response platform backed by an in-house Security Operations Center (SOC) and comprehensive SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) service.

AllConnected MDR will be able to detect breaches sooner, enabling engineers to respond and remediate quickly.

AllConnected | Perch Security
We chose to work with Perch Security for MDR for several reasons. Yes, for the massive number of integrations, not just with ConnectWise for ticket management, but Cisco hardware, Meraki networking, Cisco AMP and Umbrella… We also have great visibility into the data they collect, and the analysis they do. This allows us to tailor our IT security practice to our clients’ needs.

MDR solutions apply to functions 3 and 4 of the NIST 800-171 framework, which go together like a smoke alarm and a fire truck:

Smoke alarm | MDR Detect

Develop and implement appropriate activities to identify the occurrence of a cybersecurity event. The Detect Function enables timely discovery of cybersecurity events

Examples: Anomalies and Events; Security Continuous Monitoring; and Detection Processes.

Fire truck | MDR Respond

Develop and implement appropriate activities to take action regarding a detected cybersecurity incident. The Respond Function supports the ability to contain the impact of a potential cybersecurity incident.

Examples: Response Planning; Communications; Analysis; Mitigation; and Improvements.

AllConnected/Perch MDR detects potential problems by aggregating various inputs within a single pane of glass. These inputs include remote monitoring (e.g. N-Central), firewall and network traffic, server statistics and more.

Perch Security MDRBoth AI and SOC personnel review events before sending alerts and recommendations to AllConnected support personnel for remediation.

The MDR platform will enable AllConnected’s managed clients to gain further visibility and improve the time to respond to, and mitigate significant security threats. The result is a more secure IT infrastructure and improved techniques to combat phishing, ransomware, and emerging attacks that are designed to bypass traditional protection filters, like firewalls and anti-virus/anti-spam software.

AllConnected’s MDR service will be available to select clients by the end of Q1, 2021.
